Routeware sets out its vision with the launch of a new waste management solution
We understand that every day is a hard grind in the waste collection business. For over 25 years, Routeware has been making the lives of private haulers and municipalities easier by giving them waste management solutions that allow them to work faster and smarter, provide better service, work safely, and achieve higher levels of performance.
In today’s world, waste collection has become increasingly hectic and complex, and a great deal of effort and technology is dedicated to making everyday operations work in an efficient, responsive, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.
Despite the rapid increase of waste management technologies in the industry, it’s still often the case that information does not easily flow from one operational phase to the next. Users have to access multiple systems or information sources to assemble a complete overview of a problem or its solution. And that means managing waste operations becomes an overly complicated and time-consuming process.
At Routeware, we put usability and integration at the core of our product vision.
As industry veteran and Routeware Chief Customer Officer Yasi Alemzadeh explains, “Technology is only as effective as it is easy to use. When we think about the technology in our pockets or in our homes, it’s designed to be intuitive and seamlessly connected. We believe waste management technology should do the same. That starts with usability.”
That’s why we’re excited to announce Routeware Elements, a more connected, easier-to-use technology solution. With this launch, Routeware is realizing our vision of a smart waste management solution that will better support waste haulers and municipalities in dealing with the complexities of their daily operations, handling all facets of the business, from route optimization to billing to customer support and beyond.
As the company’s next-generation solution, Routeware Elements connects data and processes across planning, routing, dispatch, collections, disposal, customer service, and billing. Based on open, integrated technology, customers can select the specific waste software building blocks — or “Elements” — they need to support the services they offer to their customers and residents.
“Waste collection is a complex challenge that requires our customers to develop the ability to respond quickly and efficiently to their customers, environmental, or operational changes affecting them daily,” said Paul Rafalowski, CEO at Routeware. “Our responsibility is to deliver management systems that are built for individual customer needs, simple to learn and use, and capable of connecting every aspect of the operation to simplify complexity.”
Simplifying User Experience
By giving every member of your waste team a simple user experience purpose-built for their role, Routeware Elements makes it faster and easier for employees to do a great job.
Connecting Data and Processes
Removing the need for staff to switch between systems by connecting data and processes in an open, integrated, flexible solution, Routeware Elements lets you integrate workflows across your operation and deliver actionable insights when and where are most needed.
Removing Complexity
Complexity is the cause of a multitude of issues for operators — from high call volumes to missed pick-ups, to incidents and accidents. The ability to transform customer expectations by making it easier for customers to get information online and on apps, and easier for your drivers and office teams to get up-to-the-minute information directly from your trucks, means that friction is removed and satisfaction increased.
