Looking Ahead to Rubicon’s Next Summit, May 17-18, 2022

NOTE: At the time this article was originally published, RUBICONSmartCity was not part of Routeware’s suite of technology solutions. RUBICONSmartCity was acquired by Routeware in August 2024 and has since been fully integrated into the company’s offering.

The inaugural RUBICONSmartCity™ Next Summit is less than a week away, and we are busy preparing to welcome dozens of Rubicon customers, partners, and prospects to New York City to help answer the question “What’s Next for your city?”

RUBICONSmartCity drives innovation in government, bringing the next generation of technology to solid waste and heavy-duty fleet operations across the country, all while creating more efficient and sustainable communities.

At our first ever Next Summit, we are bringing together members of the RUBICONSmartCity community, thought leaders, and preeminent minds in the gov tech space from our network of dozens of major American cities. Our program spans a day and a half, during which time we will share best practices, discuss strategies for driving continuous improvement, and identify opportunities for future collaboration. This summit is all about how to utilize RUBICONSmartCity’s cutting-edge technology to optimize municipal waste and recycling operations, deliver on the promise of better public service, and provide an improved quality of life for residents.

Next Summit Agenda

Rubicon’s inaugural Next Summit is taking place between May 17-18, 2022 in New York City, steps from the iconic Grand Central Terminal and famed Chrysler Building.

A full agenda for the event, including keynote sessions by Chief AI Officer at the McSilver Institute and former Chief Technology Officer of New York City, Minerva Tantoco; former Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter; and former Department of Sanitation Commissioner of New York City, Edward Grayson; can be found on the Next Summit website.

Sessions and Workshops

A number of engaging breakout sessions and workshops are scheduled throughout both days of the conference, led by different members of the Rubicon team and our partners. Please see the agenda for a full list of sessions and workshops.

All attendees will also be invited to a happy hour reception at the end of the first day so we can keep the conversation going.
