Lisa Seitz – Wineries, Jigsaw, and Inside Sales

Lisa Seitz

Lisa Seitz is in her ninth year of working with Routeware. Beginning as a contractor in data cleanup, she now works as a BDR in inside sales. And as she says, she “hasn’t looked back since!”

Today, we’ll tell you more about Lisa and what makes her such an important team member.

An average day for Lisa at Routeware involves cold-calling and reaching out to prospects. She starts her day with a cup of coffee and Wordle to get her brain going, then she dives into the day! She breaks down her tasks into time zones to plan her day, then she starts calling and emailing.

One of Lisa’s favorite parts of the job is when clients see the demo and realize what a difference the products will make for them. A big growth experience for her has been transitioning from contract work to full-time work, joining a team and integrating into the Routeware Portland office.

“I had to learn to bullet point. I’m very much a storyteller…it helps me be successful in my job, because I enjoy talking to prospects and getting to know them, building and fostering that relationship, whether we’re right for them now or later.”

As for what interests Lisa the most about the recycling and waste management industry, she explains that she loves talking to people, establishing relationships, and getting to know the people in the industry! Although she doesn’t love public speaking, connecting with customers digitally brings her joy and she loves hearing their stories and figuring out the best way to help them.

She also loves seeing how hard they work and how they want to make a difference. When she talks with a prospect and knows she can help them, it makes her day.

“It’s like we make the world better! They’re more efficient and they become more green. I love being able to make a difference.”

When asked about a moment when she first felt like she was making a difference with Routeware, Lisa said:

“I would have to say it’s the customer outreach program. Reaching out and coming up with that program and realizing you can’t sell and get products on board without having a happy customer. Just knowing you’re helping and making them feel listened to is huge.”

When Lisa isn’t working, she keeps very busy with a number of hobbies. Puzzles (Jigsaw, Sudoku, you name it), walking, hiking, camping. And of course, finding that good Netflix movie or series to binge! Lisa also works for a winery on the weekends and enjoys wine.
